Transit 38 cruising catamaran by Woods Designs overtaking a 41ft FP Lipari to windward in 15-20 knots wind. One cruising couple on each boat. When we met the Lipari we were sailing in the other direction, so had to gybe round to chase them. So we started maybe 1/4mile behind them and right behind. we slowly caught them up. Pointing higher and sailing faster. It is hard to film and steer at the same time! The new Samson Post is looking goooood :) I love the days when you can see the progress and today is one of those days. Sanding and painting just makes the biggest difference, oh I can't wait to see the new post on stormy. I might need some advice of you guys: everyone tells me to paint the new samson post (the old one was painted grey) but I really love the timber look. Keep it natural or paint it? What do you think?
