It is not always seven sailing days, and which one you get is usually decided before you ever step aboard. Nine in ten of our clients fly into Saint Thomas and still choose to start the charter in the British Virgin Islands. That saves time on the flight side and then spends it again on clearance. You go through customs either way, so the only real question is whether you do it before the charter or during it, and doing it during the charter costs part of day one. Ferry schedules do not always line up perfectly with flights either. That is the reason we tell guests to come in the day before and stay the night: the border crossing happens before the charter starts, not during it, so day one is a sailing day instead of a transfer. I move into the middle lane with blinker on and a driver in the left lane tries to change lanes into me. I honk to warn him I'm there which he completely ignores. Driver keeps on coming into my lane forcing me to brake hard. I flash my lights to let him know I'm there...and he brake checks me!? Driver had at least four kids in the car (all unsecured). Incident occurred on northbound on I-95 south of Arlington.
