In the end, the general success of this transatlantic -supervised rally and the ever more pressing demand from owners of catamarans and trimarans led the World Cruising Club to organize a second rally – the ARC + –, then a third – the ARC January. Foi dada a largada para a 48ª Semana Internacional de Vela de Ilhabela realizada entre os dias 24 e 31 de julho de 2021, no Yacht Club de Ilhabela (YCI), no litoral norte paulista. Neste domingo (25), aconteceram as primeiras regatas, Alcatrazes por Boroeste, Ilha de Toque-Toque e Renato Frankenthal. O grande encontro da modalidade conta 80 barcos das principais classes de vela oceânica, como ORC, RGS, Mini Transat, Multicasco, Bico de Proa, Clássicos, C30 e HPE25. E, pela primeira vez, reúne regatas presenciais e virtuais, com as provas online feitas pelo aplicativo Virtual Regatta Inshore.
