Cheesy alert coming in BUT it’s the new year and we don’t care 😛 If we could sum up this past year in one word it would be gratitude. Gratitude for all the places we’ve been able to visit, gratitude for all the people we have met and were so lucky to hang out with, and most importantly, gratitude to all of you for your support 😊 Thank you, thank you, so much. The Yachting Malta Ltd EurILCA Masters race went underway this afternoon just off Sliema seafront when the ILCA 6 and ILCA 7 fleets managed to fit in two races. The approximate 8 knots of wind, and negligible swell allowed the fleet to fit in two races. Unfortunately after the second race, the wind dropped to 5knots resulting in the fleet return back to its base at the Royal Malta Yacht Club. The ILCA 6 fleet saw Rob Cage (GBR) and Vadim Yahkhinson win a race each, with Cage leading the standings for the day with 3 points. The larger, ILCA 7 fleet saw Christoph Marsano (AUT) and Aristos Chatzistamatiou (GRE) take two wins, however it was Wolfgang Gerz (GER) who matched Marsano’s points tally, both finishing the day with five points each.
