We sail on the good ship Saracen, a Beneteau Oceanis 473 from 2006. Out journey started in Scotland in early 2023 and our ultimate goal is to sail around the globe …..slowly. We make these videos mostly for family and friends and to create a record of our adventures for ourselves so that we can look back at them later in life, were not in it to make money (way to hard). This little guy was bobbing around our boat this morning for at least an hour - FAST ASLEEP!! I touched him a couple of times as he came right up against the sugar scoop and was amazed at just how hot his little flipper "solar panel" was! Seals float around like this with their flippers out of the water in the sunshine, as a way of warming up, so I thought that his flipper would obviously be warmer than our 13 degreeC water but was really surprised by just how hot it was. He was totally oblivious to my touching him over and over - super relaxed and fast asleep.
