Indeed, the HopYacht 30 features a single furling genoa supported by a mast logically stepped very far aft. The designers have limited the beam to 11 feet 3 inches (3.44 m) in order to limit the cost of a marina slip. The HopYacht can be disassembled and its two hulls each fit into a standard shipping container. This catamaran will therefore be crossing the oceans as deck cargo - it is approved in CE Category C (Beaufort Force 6 and maximum wave heights of 2 meters or 6½ feet). In addition to its genoa, the HopYacht is powered by two 6 kW E-Propulsion pods, equivalent to 9.9 HP regular motors, but without pollution or noise of course. With the adoption of an induction cooker and an electric water heater, no fossil fuels will be consumed on board. The interior, not dissimilar to what you’d find in the riverboat sector, is surprisingly comfortable for a unit of this size. Le HopYacht 30 se contente en effet d’un seul génois sur enrouleur supporté par un mât logiquement très reculé. Les concepteurs ont limité la largeur à 3,44 m afin de limiter le prix des places de port. Le HopYacht est d’ailleurs démontable et ses deux coques tiennent chacune dans un conteneur standard. C’est donc en pontée que ce catamaran défiera les océans – il est homologué en catégorie C CE (6 Beaufort et 2 m de vague maximum). En plus de son génois, le HopYacht est propulsé par deux pods E-Propulsion de 6 kW, équivalents à des moteurs de 9,9 CV, mais sans pollution ni bruit bien sûr. Avec l’adoption d’une plaque à induction et d’un chauffe-eau électrique, il n'y a pas d'énergie fossile à bord. Les aménagements, assez proche de ce qu’on peut trouver dans le domaine de la plaisance fluviale, sont étonnamment confortables pour unité de cette taille.
