The YOT 36 is expertly crafted to maximize space, efficiency, and ease of ownership. Innovative Design & Deck Space: The YOT 36 is designed for effortless days on the water, featuring a seamless indoor-outdoor flow. • Floating Terraces: A standout feature is the unfolding terraces (fold-out side platforms) that dramatically expand the beam when the boat is at anchor. The standard beam of 3.99 m (13 ft 1 in) expands to approximately 5.4 m (17 ft 9 in), turning the aft deck into a spacious floating terrace perfect for entertaining or launching water toys. • Social Layout: The open-plan cockpit and salon create an inviting flow. Enjoy lounging areas, including a sunbathing pad on the foredeck, and wide side decks for safe movement around the vessel. • Marina Friendly: The compact footprint of the YOT 36 makes marina integration easy. Lively Performance & Efficiency: The YOT 36 is built for day cruising and weekend escapes with lively performance. • Power: It is powered by twin Mercury outboards (available in 225 hp or 300 hp options). • Speed: The boat cruises comfortably at approximately 25 knots, reaching maximum speeds of up to approximately 40 knots. • Handling: The efficient hull design ensures impressive fuel economy. User-friendly handling is a key feature, especially in docking, thanks to its wide beam and optional joystick control. Comfortable Overnights: Below deck, the YOT 36 features well-appointed interiors. • The layout includes two surprisingly spacious double cabins, each with ample storage. • There is a full head, and owners can select an optional wet bar or compact galley layout, making overnights comfortable for couples or small families. • The YOT 36 holds CE Certification in Category B (offshore), with a passenger capacity of up to 10 persons. We will board the liveaboard in Saumlaki, one of the easternmost islands in Indonesia. We'll then sail north through the Banda Sea through a chain of islands and atolls known as the Forgotten Islands. One of the attractions of the Banda Sea, besides us most likely being the only boat in the area, are the reefs. They are absolutely mind-blowing. The coral is so dense that you will be hard-pressed to see any patches of the reef's limestone foundation. Many of the reefs consist of expansive fringing hard coral plateaus that extend from the island or atoll and then eventually drop off into the deep blue. These walls or slopes are covered in sponges, colorful soft corals, and sea fans. Additionally, there will be plenty of reef dwellers like dazzling schools of tropical fish, larger pelagic species like tunas, jacks, and batfish passing in the blue, and juvenile reef sharks patrolling the shallows. It's also the time of the year when the blue whales start their migration south to Australia. Thus, it may be possible to spot one or several from the boat.
