When the kite goes up and does not come down the only thing you can do is go up and get it. It looks like the bowman draw the short straw which resulted in a quick trip up the mast to try and get the halyard to come down.

Starting our Volvo Penta MD19 for the first time after our overhaul. We took the engine apart completely and renovated/changed the components.
