Don’t let their cute eyes fool you! The peacock mantis #shrimp has one of the most powerful punches in the animal kingdom. Its club-like appendages can strike with the speed of a bullet, reaching up to 23 metres per second (about 50 miles per hour). This punch is so forceful that it can break through the shells of #crabs, #clams, and even aquarium glass. The super "cool" cockpit cooler option! Great to have a deep freezer during passage and when turned off becomes greater added storage. The lid and cooler edges are all insulated with foam and reportedly work great. Once at temperature, the unit requires very little power. We'll revisit this during our passage and report back!
