Well done to all who were involved in returning this beautiful classic sailing yacht to its former glory. The following series captures the extensive restoration of Brynhilde, a 1958 Fred Parker 10-metre wooden Bermudian sloop, who arrived here at Berthon on the 4th October 2019. She has been in her present family’s ownership for the past 40 years, competing in the Hill Robinson sponsored regattas in the south of France for over a decade, and most recently sailed at the 2021 Monaco Classic Week – La Belle Classe. Arriving for a deck replacement but undergoing broad further works, Brynhilde is a beautiful example of a timeless yacht refitted to an incredibly high standard. Traditional skills were used throughout this project. Dopo il Processo alla Coppa America, il Processo al Vendée Globe, il Giornale della Vela è lieto di presentarvi una nuova “stagione” di analisi tecniche e talk show a base di vela: arriva il Processo al SailGP. Seguiremo ogni tappa del SailGP, con inviati sul campo, e con 13 trasmissioni (una per tappa), come nostro solito rigorosamente in diretta sul canale YouTube de Il Giornale della Vela. Con il nostro stile, un po’ Educational, un po’ approfondimento tecnico, e con tanta passione per la vela e le regate. Il primo appuntamento è per il 26 gennaio alle ore 18,30, con la conduzione di Mauro Giuffrè e le analisi di Rebecca Geiger, regia e produzione di Luca Sordelli. I primi ospiti saranno il “nostro” Federico Albano, analista ormai di lunga data del Giornale della Vela, che ci porterà le sue analisi sulle performance e le regate. Avremo anche una visione da coach, con Ettore Botticini, velista poliedrico (volante e non), dall’altura al match race, e ormai anche sail coach con esperienza sviluppata in collaborazione con alcuni dei più importanti team italiani e non solo. Cercheremo di capire come funzionano gli F50, come cambia la tattica di regata con questi catamarani volanti in flotta dentro un campo delimitato, e a spiegarcelo saranno anche i membri del team di RedBull Italy che saranno spesso ospiti in trasmissione.
