This is a Sango built in Oregon, USA, and then trailed down to Mexico's Baja for its first sails. Mike wrote "Fastest we went this trip was 13 knots with a reef in the main and ill fitting sails. I can not believe this is the final step on replacing the rotten deck! I've made it! I am so excited, I waited for this day for such a long time. All the hard work, and finally the deck will get finished :) I know I know it's only a small part of the whole boat progress and there is still so much more work that needs to be done, the list is long: new bulwarks, sanding-welding-painting the rail, fiberglass repairs on the main cabin, fixing leaking hatches, installing one new hatch, repainting the whole boat, underwater repairs on the prop shaft once the boat gets lifted again, changing the switchboard for the electronics and so much more. This is Mayhem, Raja Ampat. Named after the chaotic show that's put on when the pelagics come in to hunt the schooling fish on a strong current. There is a great abundance of marine life on the site, and the stronger the current, the more fish life there will be! Schools of Fusilier, Batfish, Snappers, Sweetlips, and even Bumphead Parrotfish can be seen here.
