Sailing Spain’s Stunning Coastline Episode 005 now up! Sailing Sacred Seas In this episode, we continue our sailing journey up the breathtaking southern coast of Spain aboard our Lagoon 440 catamaran, Kaia. With the parents back on land, it’s just us, the sea, and our three salty pups as we cruise from Santa Pola to Denia. Along the way, we hit our biggest port yet—Alicante—soak up the charm of Altea, and get in some solid sailing, boat upgrades, and beach time. From relaxing passages and beautiful marina stays to exploring vibrant cities and building our confidence at sea, we’re slowly finding our rhythm as liveaboard sailors—just in time to prepare for our first offshore passage to Ibiza!

Ty is a skier. He grew up park skiing in Ontario. He chased the snow out West, determined to bag 900’s, cork 7’s and 60ft cliffs. He has been working in the ski industry since high school. Now he works as a waste water technician at our local resort. Have you locals noticed how delicious the drinking water is up there? Guys like him stay out of sight, and ski a lot. For Ty it’s about creating moments in the mountains that weave together into a life’s story. We are so glad that many of our stories intertwine with his. Long live the ski bum! Ieri alle 2:00 di notte abbiamo concluso la manovra d’ormeggio di Julia. Inutile dire cos’è successo poco dopo. 😴 Questa mattina freschi di 6 ore di sonno abbiamo iniziato la giornata lavorativa con un panorama da togliere il fiato. Affezionati alle Tobago Cays e a Barbuda, qui il podio delle top spiagge non può che aumentare a tre. Isola Saona. Ci rimettiamo in marcia dopo pranzo e percorriamo 20-25 miglia, per fermarci a Casa de Campo per fare dogana. Veleggiata serena, all’ombra dell’isola che ci protegge dalle onde oceaniche. Corriamo veloci a bordo di Julia, la barca nata a La Spezia, che normalmente galoppa sul mar Adriatico e che quest’anno è partita per diventare grande. E noi con lei.
