When we bought Vida in August 2019 she was in a very tired and damp condition with all original equipment and fittings (much of it not working). Le compositeur norvégien Johan Halvorsen (1864-1935) a écrit sa Passacaille et Sarabande en sol mineur avec variations sur un thème de Haendel pour violon et alto ou violoncelle en 1897. Il s’est inspiré d’un segment de la Suite pour clavecin en sol mineur, vol. 1, n° 6, HWV 432, publiée en 1720 par le compositeur germano-britannique Georg Friedrich Haendel (1685-1759).
