Dock Dodge is a sailboat race on Lake Union, annually May - September, held at 7 pm on Tuesday nights. On Tuesday, August 10th, the theme was Tropical Night. In this video, the island is being erected, for some fun in the sun! The island is a gathering spot for boaters to grab a drink and enjoy the company of fellow sailors after the race! The summer time in San Francisco has crazy, sometimes gale force wind. This was the first day I've seen this of the 2024 summer season. It's a great training ground if you want to get beaten up out there in the strong wind and extreme sailing conditions. It's no fun if you just want to relax and lay in the sun 😫
