Shorts Skapa

This is a stitch-&-glue plywood boat for ocean crossing under human power. It was fitted with pedal propulsion and a recumbent seat but can also be rigged for oars. In this video it is being pedaled in Hout Bay Harbour, Cape Town. Contact Dudley Dix for more information about plans. https://dixdesign.com/email.htm

In the final leg of the deliver of Going to Red from Kilrush to Strangford we were once again blessed with clear but cold condition, the mid afternoon kill was once again warmed up by a visit from a pod of the most majestic marine mammals. A pod of around 25 Dolphins stayed and played on the bow for over 30 minutes, you can't help but get excited by these beautiful creatures. The warned us up for the final push up into Strangford Lough. Watching this back it reminds me why we need to do more to keep our seas clean and cool, allowing these animals to live and thrive for generations to come. Thanks for watching Bottom Up Boats latest production which shares some footage of the Dolphins in the Irish sea.
