Schön, dass du hier bist! Wir, Emely und Tjark, haben uns den Traum vom eigenen Segelboot erfüllt, eine Maxi84, relativ spontan und ohne das ganz große Geld. Das Boot müssen wir noch umtaufen auf den Namen Meera. Wir nehmen dich mit auf unsere Reise von blutigen Anfängern zu hoffentlich passablen Seglern. Bevor wir uns in die Wellen stürzen können, liegt noch ein Berg an Arbeit vor uns. Umbauten, Änderungen und vor allem der Sportbootführerschein müssen erledigt werden. Außerdem müssen wir noch lernen richtig zu segeln. Du kannst dich also schon auf die nächsten Videos freuen! Sailboat Repairs; U-Bolts Installed. As we near completion for our major sailboat repairs-our excitement mounts. These are the U-Bolts that we had specially machined, here in Anacortes to hold our mast. They extend through the chainplates to the interior of our Sceptre 41. We plan to be sailing in about two weeks towards B.C., where we will be spending 2-3 months doing our 'shakedown cruise', before heading south.
