50ft Fred Shepherd yawl Amokura - Paul Moxon has made it to the Fastnet Rock! Amokura was built in Moody’s Yard up the Hamble River in 1939 but now calls Dartmouth Devon her home. The 50ft Fredrick Shepherd yawl competed in the 1959 Fastnet Race and in the 2019 edition but completed neither. In 2021, Amokura finally crossed the finish line for the race she was built for. At 84 years old Amokura is one of the oldest boats in this year’s race and is fully crewed this year. #rolexfastnetrace #rorcracing #ircrating

Abbiamo fatto un bel viaggio di tre giorni partendo da Porto Garibaldi direzione Parenzo in Croazia, poi da Parenzo siamo andati a Rovigno e infine rientrati a Porto Garibaldi. Purtroppo quasi tutti i due trasferimenti le abbiamo dovuti fare a motore per condizioni di vento non favorevoli o assenza addirittura di vento. Comunque è stata una esperienza davvero molto molto bella. Nota dolente, i prezzi davvero alti, a Parenzo ormeggio di una notte senza luce e acqua, € 44,44, a Rovigno nella marina volevano € 180,00 per una notte, li abbiamo ormeggiato in rada all'ancora e non abbiamo pagato nulla perchè non è passato nessuno a riscuotere. Uno spritz € 8,00 senza niente, neppure un oliva. Cenare mangiando carne non si spende molto, sui 25 euro. Ho usato con molta apprensione il mio Dji mini 2 x qualche ripresa. Impresionante la de Cangrejos Rojos que había de parte mañana en la carretera desde Cienfuegos a Trinidad, en Cuba. Imposible esquivarlos! Al día, morirán miles de ellos. Encima, dicen que por un metal que llevan, los humanos no podemos comerlos. Una pena!
