We are Luke, Lori (and now Leon). We love the idea of freedom of the open sea, endless horizons, and your home whenever you wish to be. We also want to feel we are impacting the world in a positive way. So we are building the Lahakai – a 34' steel, environmentally friendly, sailboat that we will sail around the world! Or at least that is the goal and you can see our progress along the way. The dream is to do our small part and perhaps inspire others to do the same. We participated in World Sailing's project Steering the course - the global women's sailing festival, with events staged in 27 countries and with a beautiful message: to bring opportunities and encourage women and girls to get into this man-dominated sport.
