► Full test in Multihulls World N°201: https://www.multihulls-world.com/review/catamaran/bali-58-a-new-full-comfort-flagship ► The biggest of the Balis is impressive to say the least! During our boat test in Port Pin Rolland (South of France), we were able to see for ourselves what you get on the water with platform measuring 1,500 square feet (139.5 m²), a surface area almost 20% larger than is offered by the competition. The integral deck instead of a trampoline is able to offer both a forward cockpit and a real beach club area at the stern - connected to a hydraulic platform - but also optimal rigidity. To keep weight under control, the yard has used Catana technology, implementing carbon structural bulkheads. While the overall design remains in keeping with the Bali style, the coachroof is slightly larger, with narrower side decks. On board, you’ll find the opening forward door, the saloon-cockpit (a true Bali signature) and the famous tilting aft door. The galley, chart table/desk and cabins (of which there are anywhere from 3 to 6, depending on the version) are all designed in an XXL spirit that should satisfy the most demanding owners in terms of comfort. The saloon can accommodate no less than 12 guests. As for the flybridge, it has become a genuine rooftop! ► Technical specifications Architect: Xavier Faÿ Design: Piaton Bercault Yacht Design Overall length: 57’11” (17.65 m) Beam: 29’9” (9.06 m) Draft: 4’10” (1.47 m) Displacement: 54,900 lbs (24.9 t) Sail area: 1,700 sq ft (158 m²) Engines: 2 x 80 or 115 HP Fuel: 317 US gal (1,200 l) Water: 348 US gal (1,320 l) CE Category: A16 / B16 / C24 / D40 ► Become a FREE SUBSCRIBER to Multihulls World's YouTube page now - https://www.youtube.com/c/MultihullsWorld ► Log on to our website to discover over 500 multihulls tests! Prepping for the ultimate 2025 challenge! 🚤🌸 After 5 incredible years cruising Japan on my Gibsea 402, I’m gearing up for Chasing the Cherry Blossom 2, a journey to sail the length of Japan during Sakura Season—25 years after doing it by bicycle. 🗾 This haulout in Okinawa is to ready my boat (and myself) for the adventure of a lifetime as I celebrate turning 70! 💪⛵ Follow along for every step of this epic odyssey! 🌊 This is day 11 and 12 of the haul out. I actually splashed on day 8, but on the next day, I discovered a problem, and so tomorrow I have to haul out again. Are you a `never-too-later` like me? The Earthling E40 Hybrid Power Catamaran. We met the Earthlink team recently in Barcelona to take a look at the innovative systems on the E40  E-Propulsion Power Cat. John McGettigan motored the boat from Genoa to Barcelona (650 nm) single handed. ▫️ What do you think? ▫️ 10 Key Points: A cutting-edge hybrid-electric catamaran with top engineering standards. . Designed by @johnmcgettigan66, it's powered by twin Molabo electric motors and a 45kWh lithium battery system supported by a 2kW solar array. . On battery alone, Earthling can cruise silently for up to 40 nautical miles at lower speeds, or 20nm at 8 knots, and 18nm at 10 knots—the "sweet spot". . Two diesel-powered 8.5kW Whisperpower Genverters provide hybrid range extension and can run on biofuel. . Hulls are ultra-light (12m/3.6 tonnes) and based on the Stealth 36 powercat design, built with carbon composites for max efficiency. . Large 600mm propellers spin slowly (400–600rpm), optimised for quiet, efficient cruising at 10 knots. . Full recharge takes just 2 hours from shore power or 3 days from solar at anchor or at the dock. . The entire boat is run by E-Thos, a smart remote-control system that manages power, navigation, and amenities with real-time alerts. . Interior is single-level, open-plan, with smart use of space and 5 berths—perfect for weekend getaways . The E-40 aims to set a benchmark in eco-friendly boating: silent, clean, energy-efficient, and ready for the next generation of boaters. . #electric #hybrid #yacht
