Bricolage et réparation à bord de MACIF lancé en pleine mer. Pour battre le record, détenu depuis le 25 décembre 2016 par Thomas Coville en 49 jours 3 heures 4 minutes et 28 secondes, François Gabart devra couper la ligne d’arrivée avant le 23 décembre à 13h09 (heure française) sur son trimaran MACIF. En plus de travailler sans relâche pour faire avancer son trimaran de 30 mètres le plus rapidement possible, il devra donc bénéficier d’un enchaînement de conditions météo favorables. We had to remove the tarp now! It was becoming more and more unbearable to work under it, and we assessed that it wouldn’t hold back the rain coming next week anyway☔️ Now we just need to lightly sand over the various deck fittings and seal the holes with all the different fittings we’ve removed from the deck. A big thanks to @paa.dybt.vand for helping us getting rid of the tarp 🙏🏻 We will most likely put it back on on the aft part of the deck when we start to renovate that part sometime in the coming week 🥵

The clove hitch Along with the bowline and the sheet bend, it is often considered one of the most important knots to know. A clove hitch is two successive half-hitches around an object.
