Sundowner turned into… ground level seating🍹😂 We sat down… and the bench broke. Instead of throwing it away, we gave it a second life — as a herb garden. 🌿✨ It happened on a perfect summer evening — we grabbed our sundowner drinks, sat down to watch the sunset… and the bench had other plans. One loud crack later, we were on the ground, laughing. Now it’s filled with basil, parsley, mint, and chives — fresh herbs I use in my cooking every day. Lars' girlfriend arranged a surprise sail & swim for his 27th birthday, and Montauk gave him perfect conditions for a perfect outing. We sailed up behind hither woods for a picnic and swim and then had a easy reach under blue skies and fair winds back to Montauk Inlet to finish the day.
