Luckily only the the skippers pride was hurt as they bounced off the bottom releasing the hand break allowing them to push on for a racing win. Shortly after the start of Race 2 of the 2024 Narrows Regatta on Strangford Lough in Northern Ireland the lead boats were in close contact with several boats as everyone positioned for the strongest tide to push them into the main part of the lough. The J109 Going to Red was heading to the not sure if they would cross into the lead on port tack and tack the lead. They toyed with a tack to setup a leebow to take the lead, with the boat speed building quickly it was not needed as they slipped into the lead on port tack. The team at bottom up boats how you are enjoying the footage from the 2024 season, with the days getting longer it will not be long until the boat is back in the water and we can start making more memories from the 2025 racing.

I'm putting some videos online of the next refit that I'm reluctantly performing on Voyager. You can find them on the YT page for the Podcast. This was the first 2 days in the yard, getting ready for the mast to come down in preparation for the keel coming off. Everything has gone fine so far but ive had to do some unexpected fibreglass work which was obviously a joy. Cheers! #sailing
