In this video we’re sailing upwind in 30+ knots of breeze in Johnstone Strait during the VanIsle360 race with a double-reefed main sail and #3 jib. Lots of sails were destroyed in that leg, including the #3 jib we’re flying in the video. Even with the very best of planning you may be surprised by what you encounter when sailing across the vast ocean. Join us aboard our Lagoon 42 for our post hurricane season sail from Curaçao onward towards the U.S. Virgin Islands as we run into some nasty storms and unexpected surprises from US Border Patrol. Experience life on the wind, join us for a sail 👉🏽 https://cruisenautic.com Do you love travel, does your urge for adventure leave you longing to break free to live the boat life? In 2017 we decided we would do just that, so we sold everything we owned and started out for a new life at sea. We are two USCG 100 Ton Captains who sailed our Lagoon 42 Catamaran out of France and over the last 5+ years we have crossed the Atlantic and completed several circumnavigations of the Caribbean. Our winter base is the Virgin Islands where we offer a variety of sailing and dive experiences aboard CruiseNautic. Music: Diabuleria by KaleidoSea - Artlist Licensed
Ryan Short took us out on a boat, we caught a yellow fin tuna and here we are later 6 months later, onboard our Grady-White 257 Fisherman. We come from a history of using boat but with not real fishing capabilities and this boat is a dedicated fishing boat! What sold me was the incredible sea ride.
