We sail on the good ship Saracen, a Beneteau Oceanis 473 from 2006. Out journey started in Scotland in early 2023 and our ultimate goal is to sail around the globe …..slowly. We make these videos mostly for family and friends and to create a record of our adventures for ourselves so that we can look back at them later in life, were not in it to make money (way to hard). È un periodo di fuoco e in questi ultimi due giorni non ho potuto fare a meno di pensare che ci stiamo perdendo il tempo. Non mi riferisco al visitare i posti o fare i turisti, quanto più a essere qui con mente e corpo, essere presenti. I pensieri invece volano sempre verso isole lontane, dove le responsabilità e il vortice lavorativo assorbono ogni cosa. Stasera durante il tramonto è accaduta una cosa che non capitava da un po’. Andre ha preso il piano e io mi sono sdraiata accanto a lui ad ascoltarlo. Di nuovo guardando il cielo ho potuto sentire quanto quel momento fosse di valore, quanto fosse importante. Respiriamo aria pulita, viviamo a contatto con la natura, abbiamo una fortuna indescrivibile, eppure è così facile dimenticarsi di guardare il cielo. Stasera tutto si è riallineato nuovamente, abbiamo parlato, ci siamo tenuti la mano, abbiamo aggiunto un tassello piccolo ma importante in questa routine che attraversa la felicita. Perché la felicità può spaventare e imparare ad accoglierla fa parte di un percorso coraggioso. Noi siamo qui, oggi. Tanta strada già percorsa, altrettanta (e oltre) da scoprire insieme.
