We even witnessed a procession passing by our catamaran in the harbor of Santurtzi. The saint of this city near Bilbao is Carmen and during the ‘Festival El Carmen’ Her Statue is carried from the church to the harbor. She is placed on a rowing boat, then the boat goes to the sea, seamen throw flowers in the sea and then returning again with the statue back to the harbor while the music is playing out of the harbor speakers. Impressive to watch this ceremony.

Si l’alizé ne s’est pas montré très vigoureux, réduisant à portion congrue les régates à la voile au profit de convoyages au moteur, la bonne humeur était bien au rendez-vous. L’objectif des Echappées Belles est d’ailleurs avant tout de passer un moment convivial, de s’amuser sur l’eau, de profiter de belles escales tout en rencontrant de nouveaux équipages, de découvrir des spécialités locales et de partager des anecdotes, des histoires de mer. Cette rencontre est également l’occasion de connecter l’équipe du chantier avec celle d’un concessionnaire de la marque et des Propriétaires.
