Step aboard Boondoggle, a heavily customized North Pacific 49 Pilothouse that shows how dramatically an owner-driven layout can transform a proven cruising yacht. Filmed at the 2026 Seattle Boat Show, this YachtLens walkthrough is guided by Evan Adams of North Pacific Yachts. Although we have featured other North Pacific models and configurations, Boondoggle is entirely different, with a full-beam salon and galley, two ensuite staterooms, a king-size midship master, extensive storage, an enclosed heated flybridge, and a remarkably complete cruising package. This is the North Pacific 49 Pilothouse, not the 490 featured previously. Boondoggle’s custom layout was designed for extended cruising and liveaboard comfort, with residential appliances, separate washer and dryer, multiple convertible berths, and systems suited to an owner-operating couple. Is the Ockelbo B25 CAB the perfect 25-foot all-weather cruiser, or is it simply a very fast welded-aluminum boat? In this complete Ockelbo B25 CAB walkthrough from the 2026 Seattle Boat Show, Michael Atkinson, co-founder of Vasa Marine, takes us aboard the first Ockelbo B25 CAB officially introduced to the United States. Michael’s search for the ideal Pacific Northwest boat took him all the way to Sweden. He wanted an Ockelbo badly enough that the journey ultimately led him to help establish Vasa Marine and become the U.S. distributor for Ockelbo and Anytec boats. The result is one of the most unusual 25-foot cabin boats we have toured on YachtLens. Built in Sweden for year-round boating, the Ockelbo B25 CAB combines a fully welded aluminum hull, enclosed pilothouse, convertible sleeping berth, extensive storage, self-bailing cockpits, suspension helm seats, diesel heat, shore power, reverse-raked windows, and a 400-horsepower Mercury Verado V10. A factory performance test of the Mercury V10 400 configuration recorded a top speed of 51.2 knots, with acceleration from 0 to 25 knots in 6.2 seconds. That makes this a remarkably fast aluminum cabin boat, but outright speed is only part of the story. Michael walks us through the practical details that make the B25 CAB especially interesting for Pacific Northwest boating, Puget Sound cruising, island commuting, fishing, family adventures, foul-weather operation, and occasional overnight use. IN THIS OCKELBO B25 CAB TOUR: • Fully welded aluminum hull and superstructure • Mercury Verado V10 400-horsepower outboard • Factory-tested 51.2-knot performance • Enclosed all-weather pilothouse • Convertible double sleeping berth • Seating for up to eight people • Adjustable shock-mitigating suspension seats • Automatic Zipwake trim system • Optional diesel cabin heater • Shore-power system • Twin sliding roof hatches • Optional sliding side windows • Self-bailing forward and aft cockpits • Integrated fender and equipment storage • Vented storage compartments • Large Simrad navigation displays • Fusion marine audio system • Heavy-duty doors, hinges, cleats, rails, and hardware • Low-maintenance aluminum construction OCKELBO B25 CAB SPECIFICATIONS: Length Overall: 25 ft 11 in / 7.90 m Hull Length: 23 ft 11 in / 7.28 m Beam: 8 ft 4 in / 2.55 m Weight Without Engine: Approx. 3,979 lb / 1,805 kg Fuel Capacity: Approx. 79 US gal / 300 L Passenger Capacity: 8 Maximum Power: 425 hp Seattle Boat Show Configuration: Mercury Verado V10 400 hp Transom Deadrise: 19.7 degrees Forward Hull Angle: 50.4 degrees Construction: Fully welded marine aluminum Factory-Tested Top Speed With 400 hp: 51.2 knots The Ockelbo B25 CAB was also named a finalist in the 2026 Motor Boat Awards, giving this relatively unknown Swedish builder an impressive introduction to the American market. Performance figures shown or discussed are based on factory testing of a specific boat, engine, propeller, fuel load, passenger load, and test conditions. Actual performance will vary. Is this 42-foot all-weather aluminum power catamaran the ideal Great Loop or Inside Passage boat? In this YachtLens walkthrough and sea trial, we step aboard BRIX Marine’s 42 DCAT “Nomad,” a semi-displacement aluminum catamaran designed by Jutson Marine Design and built for serious, extended cruising. Filmed at BRIX Marine headquarters in Port Angeles, Washington, this tour goes beyond the usual dockside walkthrough. Charlie Crane, BRIX Marine’s Sales & Marketing Director, and Vince Eastburn, Company Captain and After-Delivery Support Manager, take us through Nomad’s construction, accommodations, pilothouse, propulsion, engineering, safety systems and real-world performance. Nomad combines the stability and usable beam of a power catamaran with the range, accommodations and protected pilothouse of a cruising trawler. With only 3 feet 4 inches of water draft, a mast-down air draft of 13 feet 7 inches, twin diesel shaft drives, 600 gallons of fuel and 280 gallons of freshwater, she presents a compelling alternative to the traditional Great Loop trawler. During our time aboard, Vince also demonstrates Nomad’s precise electric steering and autopilot, while Charlie explains the practical thinking behind her walkaround decks, self-bailing aluminum construction, enormous storage capacity and all-weather cruising layout. Step aboard the 2024 Sargo 36 Explorer with YachtLens at the Anacortes Boat Show and Trawlerfest. After our Sargo 45 Explorer walkthrough with Greg Hule of Inside Passage Yacht Sales reached more than half a million views, Greg is back, the boots are back, and this time we’re exploring the smaller but surprisingly large and capable Sargo 36 Explorer. This 36-foot all-weather cruiser packs a remarkable amount of usable space into a practical owner-operator package. In this full tour, Greg walks us through the hydraulic swim platform, extended cockpit roof, aft wet bar, full walkaround decks, high rails, starboard gunwale door, galley-up pilothouse, Garmin Surround View docking system, Volvo Penta D6-380 DPI power, joystick controls, generator, engine room access, forward cabin, aft cabin, second head, separate shower, and the clever details that make this boat feel much larger than its size suggests. One of the biggest surprises aboard this Sargo 36 is the volume. With two cabins, a proper galley, real headroom, smart storage, and practical service access, this is the kind of boat that makes you question how much length you actually need. And yes, Greg’s boots make a return appearance. New boots this time. The comment section may now proceed accordingly. Is This the Smartest 36-Foot Cruiser? I walked the American Tug 362 at the Seattle Boat Show with Kurt Dilworth — co-founder and Vice President of American Tug — and he answered every question buyers actually ask. Not a dealer. Not a broker. The man who built this company. This is the honest conversation the brochure won't give you.The 362 shares its hull with the legendary AT 365 — but adds a second stateroom, a design tradeoff with real implications for the buyer. Kurt walks us through every compartment: the galley, the pilothouse, the engine room access that owners consistently rave about, and his straight answer to the two-stateroom question.Built by hand in La Conner, Washington — 8 to 10 boats per year — the American Tug 362 is one of the most deliberately engineered coastal cruisers on the American market today. 36'6" LOA. Single Volvo Penta D4-320. 16.5 knots top speed. 10-plus knot cruise. 900-nautical-mile range. And 14'4" bridge clearance that makes it Great Loop legal. If you're cross-shopping the AT 362 against the AT 365 — or weighing American Tug against Nordic Tug — this is the conversation you need to hear directly from the source. Step aboard a true piece of American yachting history. Built in 1954 by the legendary John Trumpy & Sons, this 68’ classic motor yacht represents an era when craftsmanship, design, and prestige defined the world’s finest vessels. Trumpy’s legacy is deeply tied to American history—including the design of the presidential yacht USS Sequoia, which served eight U.S. Presidents from Herbert Hoover through Jimmy Carter. In this full walkthrough, we explore Liberty Love—a beautifully preserved example of mid-century yacht building at its finest. Filmed at the Palm Beach International Boat Show. Is this the ultimate owner-operator yacht for the Pacific Northwest? In this episode of YachtLens, we are in Seattle aboard the Horizon V68—a 70-foot skylounge motoryacht that feels closer to a 100-foot superyacht. I’m joined by Eli Arvidson from Horizon Yachts to break down why this vessel is specifically spec'd for serious cruising in the PNW. From the massive glass sections that bring the outside in, to the fully enclosed skylounge that acts as a second salon, we explore how this boat balances luxury with the practical realities of running a boat yourself. We also dive deep into the engine room to check out the twin CAT C18 ACERTs and ask the hard questions about range, build quality, and system redundancy. If you are looking for a yacht that a couple can handle comfortably from Seattle to Alaska, this walkthrough is for you. ⚓ Horizon V68 Specs & Info: https://horizonyacht.com/models/v/v68 ⚓ Horizon Yachts: https://horizonyacht.com CONTACT ELI ARVIDSON: For inquiries about the V68 or Horizon Yachts in the PNW: 📧 Email: eli@horizonyachtusa.com 📞 Horizon Yacht USA: +1 206-649-0253 SUBSCRIBE TO YACHTLENS: Don't miss our next honest yacht tour.
