Initially designed in 1937 by the renowned Swedish designer Tore Holm, SVEA was not built due to the onset of World War II, and plans were lost for decades. Over 70 years later, the plans were rediscovered and SVEA was commissioned with the intent of participating in the 2017 America's Cup Superyacht Regatta and J-class Regatta in Bermuda. Retaining the heritage of her J-class lines, the original structure and sail plan was thoroughly updated incorporating many new features. To ensure maximum competitiveness, J-class rules were considered throughout the construction, with the management of the delicate weight and balance an essential aspect of the build and finishing process. 80 years after the original drawings were made, SVEA was launched as the longest J-class ever built and won her second-ever race during America's Cup J-class regatta. SVEA's lines and deck are kept spectacularly clean, thanks to the compact wheelhouse, sunken wheel and wonderfully low boom. Her unusually large steering wheel allows the helms-person to position themselves further outboard for a better view of the foresail telltales, a clear performance advantage. SVEA's deck layout optimises modern racing, whilst also being a great guest area whilst the yacht is cruising. SVEA has been meticulously designed with her racing capabilities in mind, however, her interiors are not compromised with a luxurious interior below deck designed by the renowned Pieter Beeldsnijder. SVEA boasts a semi-classic interior which nods to the history of the yacht while providing a contemporary look and feel. Cream panels and walnut veneers keep her bright down below and her main salon benefits from a large deck light, flooding the space with natural light. The galley can be opened up to the comfortable salon and dining area by the dropdown wall panel creating easy access to the galley while racing, and a relaxed breakfast bar and dining area while cruising. With an owner's suite, plus two en suite guest cabins SVEA can accommodate up to 6 guests plus 7 crew members. SVEA is one of the most outstanding yachts of modern times - an incredible fusion of 1937 design and 21st-century technology. Her current owner has spared no expense. SVEA comes with a complete wardrobe of racing sails and a delivery wardrobe, a carbon fibre mast and a 10m Humber RIB. SVEA is an exceptionally advanced and an unsurpassed sailing yacht, she arrives to market as the newly-crowned 2018 J-class champion.

On 11 April 2019, the 23-metre chase boat, called Stargazer, was launched at our sister company Claasen Shipyards in the Netherlands. This large classic lined motorboat, intended as a tender for a sailing superyacht, is a unique concept. One of the key tasks of this vessel is to get guests and owner from ashore to the yacht in comfort and to visit shallow diving areas. During this project, the Dutch shipyards Vitters and Claasen combined their efforts to build this motorboat. It is the first time the two sister companies worked together on a new build project. The yacht was built to superyacht standards as far as performance, finish, styling, details and technical installations are concerned. The lightweight aluminium hull was built in the Netherlands and all technical installations and joinery work have been executed by the Dutch shipyards. The concept of the yacht is designed around several purposes the yacht needs to fulfil: - To transport guests from shore to mothership. - To serve as a diving platform that goes into small lagoons and shallow areas where people can comfortably go in and out of the water using a large swim platform in the stern that forms steps underwater when deployed. - To be able to hold extra stores onboard. - To accommodate extra crew or guests in the three cabins onboard the yacht. The owner wanted the boat to have a Pacific range, meaning she is able to be powered by engines underway for 750 miles at cruising speed. The boat was designed with two 925 hp SCANIA engines to drive fixed propellers for a cruising speed of 15 knots and a top speed of 25 knots.

A heavy wind on the course saw Svea cross the line in fourth place in both the fourth and fifth race of the championship today, just eight seconds behind Lionheart on corrected time in the last race of the day. It's been a thrill to see her strength on the course in her first season of racing, with the careful work by our team who launched her this year paying dividends.

We're absolutely thrilled to share this video of Ribelle with you from the Superyacht Cup 2017. Her modern Malcolm McKeon design combines with performance for an exceptionally-striking superyacht to see on a regatta course.

According to her designer, Malcolm McKeon, the most striking feature of unique-looking Ribelle, "apart from the vast amount of glass in the deck saloon canopy, is a chine running the entire length of the topsides".

The Frers designed, 150ft sloop rigged performance cruiser is the first yacht built by Vitters Shipyard to a design by Germán Frèrs. The cooperation with the Argentinian designer has been a resounding success. Both the design studio and the yard have a long track record of high performance cruisers and their joint experience created a great combination. The yacht embodies paramount high performance characteristics while offering the enjoyment of comfortable living on-board and to compete in the world's most competitive Superyacht Regatta's. Unfurled has won both the World Superyacht Award in the Sailing Yacht 45metre and above category, as well as the 2016 Sailing Yacht of the Year award. She was also the overall winner at the St. Barths Bucket Regatta 2016 and the winner in her class (Les Gazelles des Mers).

A clean underwater hull without dragging a feathered propeller through the water was, until recently, only seen on racing yachts. Our novel development of direct drive pods, offers this opportunity now also to performance cruising yachts. This is a new advancement which will certainly be used on many future yachts and which offers improved performance, also on existing yachts originally designed for cruising.

Sarissa is a spectacular 42.6 m carbon globetrotter. She is one of the most recent additions to the portfolio of performance yachts built by the Dutch superyacht yard Vitters Shipyard. Sarissa is the largest carbon sloop built in the Netherlands to date. Following Vitters' previous carbon high performance sailing yachts, this increase in size is not the only development. Sarissa's hydraulic and deck systems provide improved reaction speed, load and stiffness to safely facilitate the sailing performance she was designed for. Other custom technical features are an in-house developed hydraulic steering system with rudder feedback, as well as a unique system of back staysandrunning stays to operate both her cruising andracing sail configurations. Aglaia is a spectacular 66m sloop-rigged aluminium yacht designed by naval architect Dubois Design. The large sloop rig is all carbon with EC6 rigging and gives a sail area to displacement ratio equivalent to a racing yacht. With the motto to develop a 60m+ yacht that sails like a dinghy, the design and build team set specific targets like hoisting the main sail in less than two minutes and tacking the boat within 30 seconds. Vitters Shipyard developed an innovative storage system on two drums in the forepeak for the Staysail and Code 1. In addition, Vitters designed a new type of furler for the Staysail to increase safety of the crew by completely avoiding manual handling for large sail hoisting and setting. Aglaia started off her second Mediterranean season with a spectacular novelty: she now carries a Code 1 artwork by the Norwegian art designer Magne Furuholmen. This is the worldwide largest artwork on canvas. Though one can hardly call a 3600 sqm painting a detail, this is yet another confirmation of nearly every single detail of this yacht being extraordinary.
