I’ve since navigated diverse waters, from tiny local reservoirs to Lake Constance's vast expanse. Whether facing dead calms, thrilling 15-to-20-knot winds, or freezing sub-zero weather, I always rig up in my dry suit and hit the water. My Tiwal 3 inflatable dinghy is the perfect training platform. Unlike traditional dinghies like the Pico, whose heavy metal boom once struck my head, the Tiwal offers incredible safety. Its lightweight, high-clearance boom makes gybing much less intimidating. It lacks harsh edges, ensuring smooth deck movement, and is effortlessly easy to right after a capsize. This vessel's portability allows me to easily stow it inside my camper van or tiny 4x4. While they typically navigate the ocean expanse between Cape Cod and Montauk, they initially practiced in freshwater to safely build her skills, as she had never sailed before. Their maiden voyage became an instant adventure when they capsized ten minutes in, but quickly righting the vessel only strengthened their confidence. Because they lack waterfront property, portability is essential; the boat fits in a trunk and goes from bag to water in under 30 minutes. ☀️ 55 Tiwal inflatable sailboats and their 80 captains gathered on May 23rd for the 11th edition of the Tiwal Cup! All our sailboat models were represented, including the two newest additions to the range: the sporty Tiwal 3R Max and the family-friendly Tiwal 2XL. ⛵ The wind gods were exceptionally lazy for this edition, giving many children the chance to experience the thrill of a real regatta alongside their parents. It was a beautiful sunny day that wrapped up with a warm, friendly dinner, where our growing community came together to share their passion for dinghy sailing. He enjoys the convenience of assembling the dinghy near his car and exploring different beaches around the lake. Gustavo and his wife often sail together, and he appreciates the Tiwal's responsiveness and the thrill of sailing in strong winds. He notes that sailing the Tiwal is a more physical experience than traditional keelboats, but still finds this light sailboat easy and fun. Gustavo also highlights the portability of the Tiwal, which allows him to take it on trips to the ocean. He dreams of sailing it in Greece, exploring the Mediterranean waters with his portable sailboat. He finds it easy to transport in his pickup truck, appreciating its compact and portable design. This small sailboat's portability allows him to explore remote areas, making it a perfect fit for his camping adventures. Although he initially needed assistance launching the dinghy through the surf, Bill can now handle it independently. He was impressed by the Tiwal's ability to tack into the wind and its durability during capsize exercises. He finds the light sailboat easy to maneuver and is looking forward to exploring calmer waters. Despite encountering some challenges with the surf, Bill finds sailing the Tiwal a fun and relaxing experience.
