Our last sail for the 2025 summer season took us from Vieste to Bari, marking the end of an unforgettable few months in the Adriatic. It was also a special day - we finally flew our spinnaker for the first time! After a couple of funny mistakes and adjustments, it filled beautifully in the super light winds, making for a calm, easy, and satisfying sail along the Italian coast. Today we prepare Indara to leave the marina - topping up water, bringing in the bicycle, securing the cable and passarel - before heading out to sea. With no wind along the Croatian coast, we hoist the sails while motoring, later drop them again, and show every step in between. We also go into detail on anchoring: the first attempt didn’t hold, so we had to drop the anchor a second time. Real sailing isn’t always perfect, but that’s part of the journey. Sometimes sailing isn’t about speed and drama - it’s about patience, sweat, small rituals, and enjoying the slow rhythm of life afloat. We enjoyed a smooth sail from the peaceful island of Lastovo to stunning Korčula. The weather was perfect, the sailing easy, and the arrival into Korčula couldn’t have been better. We picked up a mooring buoy effortlessly and settled in to enjoy one of the most beautiful islands in Croatia. We set sail from Bari, Italy around 7pm after topping up fuel, bound for the beautiful Croatian island of Lastovo. With about 18 knots of wind, Seahoppers enjoyed a fantastic overnight passage across the Adriatic. We took shifts through the night under starlight, and by morning we arrived to the stunning shores of Lastovo.
