We explore the region around Loretto, as well as a number of anchorages. We hang out with N57 Noeta, and then on New Years Day see N40 Epic, N50 Lasernut, N475 Dolcezza and N41 Aloha parade into our anchorage for a party! Cruising at its best.
After multiple requests we finally compare the two Nordhavn's we have lived on full time. The results may surprise you, or not. We have lived on these boats, travelled on these boats, crossed oceans on one and come down the US West coast on the other. We know what the sales people say, we know the experts can comment on the equipment and perfection BUT we have lived it. We know what works and what doesn't.
A continuation of the journey from Anacortes in October/November 2025. We depart Ensenada and still off for a few days in Magdelena Bay to experience a cornucopia of sea life experiences. We repair some electrical issues and meet up with a number of other Nordhavns for the 2025 Taco Run. Only we choose our own weather window. We left 2 days after the fleet and also stayed longer in Magdalena Bay to enjoy the area. Don't follow the crowd, follow your dreams. While cruising together is fun, it just did not fit our plan and read on the weather at the time.
From Anacortes Washington to Ensenada Mexico in October and November 2025. We encounter big seas, large swells, lots of fog, irresponsible mariners and bold sailboats. We endure issues underway, repairs, maintenance required and get to visit some great spots along the way. Want to see a Nordhavn 64 in big following seas... watch this video!!
This is the continuation of the extensive work we had carried out in Anacortes Washington in Sept Oct 2025. It also covers some work we had done on the boat in Comox BC with camera upgrades.
This is volume 1 of two volumes which details the work done on the boat while in Anacortes in Sept/Oct 2025. This came after the trip to Alaska and upon return to Washington, before our run South to Mexico. There was extensive work carried out. Some planned and some not planned. For those who like to see the upgrades and maintenance work on a boat this is a perfect viewing opportunity.
We leave Port McNeil and travel to the Broughtons, then through Seymour Narrows to Comox and back to Anacortes.... beautiful scenery ... with fog and orcas.
