The Lanzarote International Regatta successfully completed its second day of racing for the Olympic classes this Tuesday, in a day marked by wind conditions that once again—true to Lanzarote’s reputation—allowed the full programme to be completed. ILCA 6, ILCA 7 and 49er all sailed their scheduled races, totalling ten races on the water in an intense day.

The 2026 ILCA Under-21 World Championships concluded this Saturday in Marina Rubicón, Lanzarote, after six intense days of racing marked by demanding conditions, tactical battles and a dramatic final showdown that crowned Italy’s Antonio Pascali and Ginevra Caracciolo as the new world champions.

The ILCA Under-21 World Championships delivered a fifth and penultimate day of racing on Friday in Marina Rubicón, Lanzarote, marked by strong winds, physical demands and intense tactical challenges. With the final day still to come, everything remains open in ILCA 7, while in ILCA 6 the lead continues to be firmly held by Italy’s Ginevra Caracciolo.

In ILCA 7, Karol Krupski (ESP) and Luka Zabukovec (SLO) are now tied at the top of the leaderboard on 30 points, highlighting the remarkable level of equality among the leading contenders. Just ten points behind, Fernando Abella (ESP) sits third overall. In ILCA 6, Ginevra Caracciolo  (ITA) continues to assert her dominance, extending her lead at the top of the provisional standings after a flawless day in which she proved unbeatable, winning both races. The Italian now holds a commanding 31-point advantage over her closest challenger, Spain’s Irene de Tomás.

Spain’s Karol Krupski moved into the overall lead in the men’s ILCA 7 fleet after four races and one discard. Despite a 13th-place finish in the first race of the day, Krupski bounced back with a second place to sit on four net points. Italy’s Ginevra Caracciolo continues to lead the ILCA 6 women’s fleet after maintaining her advantage for a second consecutive day. Greece’s Hermione Ghicas moved up to second overall, while Spain’s newly crowned ILCA Youth World Champion Irene de Tomás climbed into third place after finishing second and fourth in Tuesday’s races. #lanzarotesailingcenter
