DaveFer & family all learning to sail and loving the sport. This is our "How to" channel. (Yeah, it's often more like "How NOT to..." channel.) Our current ride is our BW Harpoon 5.2 -- a competitive 17' dinghy made by Boston Whaler. Ours is Harpoon 394, soon to be christened "Ariel". The little ones (ages 5 and 9) have each had an introduction to sailing an Optimist. And the older one has started taking lessons in our Harpoon. We're learning to sail and race with the help of the great folks at the Austin Yacht Club. Please check them out and consider joining if you live in the Austin, TX area. It's not your typical ($^#&) yacht club. It's more like a YMCA for sailing. :) We look forward to sharing racing videos with you as soon as we start our racing career(s).
