we arrive at our new boat in Guatemala, and quickly realize she is in need of much more work than we first thought so we start getting to work having the engines taken out and installing solar and new navigation equipment. two friends fly out to help Rome is an electrician from Switzerland and a very helpful guy to have on board, and jay an injured veteran from the UK who wants to get into sailing. with out their help we would have never been ready in April to set sail. we start in Nanajuana marina and eventually make our way out of the Rio Dulce towards our sailing destination Honduras, with the aim of getting to Panama before hurricane season, but will the boat break before we get there will hurricane season set in before we arrive.

we had a busted d100 dessalator and found a cheap.way to fix it diy style. usibg a pressure washer and some stainless syeel parts from amazon we make 100Litres an hour of drinking water. a pump protector filter to par max 4 from jabsco to a 20micron pleated filter then a 5 micron filter. on to the pressure washer a basic 105bar total brand washer for 120$, then to the memranes three in series then to the panel we control the flow through a needle valve from amazon and a swagelok pressure relief valve acts as saftey. we fitted a fresh water flush and an inline tds (total dissolvable solids) reader to measure the ppm (parts per million) this 20 dollars and battery powered. the membranes we got from boundless outfitters for 230 each. needle valve and safety valves we 300 in total. all stainless. 1/4".

In this video we sail around the bay of Panama to the Pearl Islands. We find an abandoned hotel on the beautiful Isla Contadora and learn about it´s dark history. We find crystal clear water and white sandy beaches to show our son. We finally receive Amaru´s passport, after months of waiting and disputes with the registration office, so we plan a trip back to Europe for the summerv to meet each others family for the First time! and for them to meet our baby boy.

In this video I sail to Panama to meet Renate who returns by plane, due to covid restrictions and lock downs we struggle to physically meet. I set off from Ecuador on a 9 day sail to Panama against the wind and current its very frustrating for me as I average around 2.5knots daily which is very slow. As I near Panama Renate informs me via iridium that she has landed and by the time I get to the marina she would be ready to visit. In Panama they were having total weekend lockdowns meaning when Renate and I arrived, her on friday and me on saturday, there were no taxi's or public transport to take us to each other. But Renate is a woman of many resources so she figures out a way to get to me. Renate leaves the boat to go visit her family after 2 years of travelling. She shows you the snowy mountains of Switzerland and some of her home away from home. Spending a much needed Christmas with family and snow. Meanwhile I'm (Craig) back on the boat prepping for a solo passage to Panama, while she was away I learned how to kite surf, which is one of my other videos, and i had to get digital stamps for my passport ect. so I could leave and after 2 weeks of trying to sort out the papers I got the clear. In this video we are in the marina puerto Lucia and check in to the country. Renate has left the boat for the holidays and instead of letting myself get bored i decided to learn how to kitesurf, there are a few wheel chair bound kitesurfers but no triple amputee ones. so now im the first of my injuries to do so and its such a cool sport. located on marianita beach south west of manta in ecuador. kiteecuador paired me up with roberto an instructor who has taught in many different countries. he was as stocked as i was when we discovered not only is it an achievable goal but one sport in which i could do very well at. a tiny bit of scratching our heads about board attachments and one day later im up on the board. hopefully this video makes others in a similar situation realise they can do any sports they want to. hopefully i can inspire some new found love of a sport. follow my instructor on instagram here : @robertomolinaca music: into it by kwon my website: https://captaincraig.co.uk facebook: https://m.facebook.com/captainonehand insta: @woodyies

in this video we sail from Robinson Crusoe to Ecuador, half way through we sail through 150+ fishing vessels all from china. they light up the sky just like a city on the horizon. and they move for no sailboat luckily our path was right between the fleet so nobody had to. then our batteries start to fail yikes. this means more hand steering and less charging things. then our fridge breaks luckily we have as seperate freezer so nothing spoiled. then we were blessed with the most dolphins i have ever seen and they all jumped at the same time easy 30+ you can tell by our reaction that we were totally blown away by the show. check out my facebook::@captainonehand check out my website: https://captaincraig.co.uk music: MydNyte by Nior Et Blanc Vie
