An early departure from this anchorage then took us to Puerto Peñasco where we prepared for our haul out. We then drove to the border crossing and on to our home in Colorado USA. 00:00 - Intro 02:03 - Puerto Refugio 03:33 - We got to go! 06:12 - Pulling into Puerto Peñasco 07:32 - Around town 09:46 - Hauling 11:26 - Drilling a hole in the rudder 12:38 - Sandblasting 15:01 - Heading home

In this video, I rebuild our NAVTEC hydraulic backstay tensioner while at anchor in La Paz, Mexico. Just want clarification contributed in the comments below: "When reinstalling the piston into the bore, you need to place a piece of shim stock inside the tube that covers the NPT oil port. This prevents the lip of the piston seal from being nipped off as it passes the port." For ordering the correct rebuild kit for your unit, first reference the stampings on your unit then check for the correct seal kit at the following website: https://navtechydraulics.com/navtec-hydraulic-seal-kit-price-list/ Then reach out to a NAVTEC dealer who can send you the kit. https://navtechydraulics.com/dealer-list/ I recommend reaching out to Alan at Seatek Yachting in Long Beach, CA. He was extremely helpful. https://www.seatekyachting.com/ 00:00 - Intro 00:26 - Removal 01:25 - The Rebuild Kit 02:04 - Disassembly 05:56 - Reassembly
