For Full Details, Specifications, and Pricing check out the link below: https://bit.ly/Catana90Orion Info@catamarancentral.com 754 778 7245 www.CatamaranCentral.com Orion is one of the most iconic sailing catamarans ever launched. Catana built her for her original owner, who had previously circumnavigated on a Catana 582. Taking the knowledge learned on that circumnavigation, he met with the Catana's designers and builders to develop one of the most luxurious bluewater cruising catamarans ever launched. Her current owners purchased her in Spain and moved her to the same areas of France where she had been built to complete an extended refit. In Canet-en-Roussillon over 5000kg of weight was removed that has greatly improved her performance. Another 1000kg of weight was removed in 2024 with the changeover to Lithium from AGM. Some of her key features and recent upgrades include: - Lithium battery bank - Over 10,000 watts of custom-installed solar, including a custom carbon fiber array - The mast was stepped, painted, and fully serviced - New kevlar shrouds - New mainsail - New jib sail - New water maker membranes - New Hatches (6X) - New tender w/ Yamaha outboard - And so much more Contact us for additional photos and videos of this impressive performance of the catamaran.

With each passing year it feels like we're getting more and more hurricanes, and avoiding them is becoming harder and harder. With that being said, there are some places renowned for being places of refuge during the stormy season. One of those places is Curacao in the Dutch West Indies. Check out this video for the top 5 reasons why I would recommend checking out Curacao for the windy season. @curacaotourism #sailing #catamaran #hurricaneseason2024

Every year we get bombarded with news out of the Cannes Yachting Festival in the South of France. This year is no exception, and here are three early bits of news that have come out of the show I find pretty exciting.
Our resident liveaboard talks about how freedom is one of the best adjectives to describe being a full time catamaran liveaboard, and how this particular Fountaine Pajot Helia 44 Evolution is the perfect catamaran for being on the water. When purchasing a catamaran there are a lot things to worry about, so the more you know going into the purchase process, the less stress you'll face. Having a basic understanding of the contract is the first step in the process. The entire IYBA Purchase and Sale Agreement can sometimes be a bit overwhelming for a first time catamaran buyer. If you're not certain of the terms in an agreement, we highly recommend consulting an attorney. In our opinion, the most important thing to understand are the different dates in the agreement. In this video we'll briefly talk about these four different set of dates, and what they mean. For a copy of the IYBA agreement we use please shoot us an email. One of the most intimidating things for sailors and boaters pulling into Fort Lauderdale for the first time is dealing with the network of opening bridges on the Intracoastal Waterway. In Fort Lauderdale and the surrounding areas on the ICW the bridges open on a schedule with a request over the VHF radio. They monitor channel 9, and open every thirty minutes upon request. Heading north from Port Everglades to Hillsboro Inlet here is the list of bridges and their opening schedule: 17th Street Cause Way - On the hour or half-hour Las Olas Bridge - Quarter or three-quarter hour Sunrise Bridge - On the hour or half-hour Oakland Park Bridge - Quarter or three-quarter hour Commercial Bridge - On the hour or half-hour Atlantic Bridge - Quarter or three-quarter hour NE 14th St Bridge - Quarter or three-quarter hour Hillsboro Inlet Bridge - On the hour or half-hour For more information on anything boating or sailing related, don't hesitate to reach out. www.CatamaranCentral.com info@CatamaranCentral.com
Literally the worst product you can use on your boat is 3M's 5200. It is such a powerful adhesive/bedding compound that it is almost impossible to remove hardware that has been bedded down with 5200. If you have 5200 on your boat please throw it all away, and replace it with 3M 4200 or a comprable Sikaflex product like Sika 291.
