But what's it actually like to live on as a family? The Southampton Boat Show 2026 - seen the day before it opens, with a quick tour of the Parker, Sea Ray, Fairline and Williams stands and a look at some of the boats on display. Starting with Parker, Dan runs through the three boats on the stand, including the £338,000 model at the top of the range, before the tour moves across to Sea Ray and its four-boat line-up. There’s also a handy look at exactly where each stand is, so anyone heading to the show should have a decent idea where to find them. Next up is Fairline, with the Squadron 58 alongside the F-Line 33 and Targa models, plus the new Targa 58 GTO due to arrive on Sunday night. There’s hospitality on the stand too, with drinks available while visitors have a look around. 🛥️ The final stop is Williams, where five boats are on display, including the new MX280 and MX320. The 320 starts at £19,995 and is picked out as one of the stars of the show, with only a few available. 2 week Princess F55 Summer Holiday: Mallorca, Ibiza & Formentera 🛥️☀️😎 This trip follows two weeks cruising Mallorca, Ibiza and Formentera aboard a Princess F55, covering roughly 200 nautical miles around the Balearic Islands. The holiday starts in Mallorca before the boat makes the crossing to Ibiza, with stops around Santa Eulària, Ibiza Town and Formentera. From there, the route heads back towards Mallorca, calling into Andratx and working around the coast before eventually returning to Cala d’Or. One of the highlights is rafting up with the other boats to watch the eclipse 🌘, which turns into a pretty special evening. There’s also a run through Billionaire’s Bay, a look at some of the yachts anchored there and the inevitable opportunity for the boys to take a high jump in to the sea.🌊 There’s plenty of time underway too, with a look at the Princess F55’s real-world fuel consumption at different cruising speeds, the sort of range it offers and what it’s actually like to use as a family boat for two weeks. With six people on board, it’s a good test of how well the F55 works when everyone is properly living aboard rather than just using it for a day trip. In this first full review of the brand new 2027 Fairline Targa 58 GTO, we take you through absolutely everything; from the spectacular beach club and huge cockpit to the beautifully finished interior, accommodation and that wonderfully clean new helm. There’s plenty to explore on board, including the drop-down balconies, garage and beach club arrangement, enormous cockpit table, outdoor galley, three-cabin layout and some seriously impressive detailing throughout. We also head forward to look at the wider side decks, bow seating and one-piece windscreen, before climbing into the engine bay to see the twin Volvo Penta D13 1000s. Then it’s time to leave the marina and take the Targa 58 GTO out onto Southampton Water for a quick sea trial. We see how those shaft-drive D13s perform, talk through the handling and helm layout, and find out what sort of speed she can achieve. Two Princess F55s, side by side, both loaded with fuel, people and toys... there was only one sensible thing to do: race them! 🛥️💨 This time we’ve managed to get two F55s together for a proper head-to-head run at sea, with a separate camera boat along to capture the action. Both boats are running twin 900hp engines and tipping the scales at around 30 tonnes each, so this isn’t exactly your average drag race. After carefully getting the two boats apart — and avoiding what could have been a rather expensive coming-together — it’s time for the countdown and the first attempt. Things don’t go entirely to plan… so naturally, we line them up and have another go! 😄 Then it’s full throttle as the two Princess F55s head out side by side.
