Hosted by Nic Douglass, SheSails Ambassador, with introductions from Australian Sailing President Shevaun Bruland, and Sue Phillips, Participation Coordinator. Two of Australia’s most decorated sailors, lifelong friends, and 49er Olympic champions. Nathan Outteridge and Iain Jensen’s partnership has defined a generation of high-performance sailing, from World Championships to Olympic glory and America’s Cup campaigns.

A 17-time world champion across several multihull disciplines, Olympic silver medallist, and America’s Cup-winning skipper, Glenn Ashby has defined high-performance sailing for over two decades.

The SheSails International Conference 2025, part of the World Sailing Steering the Course Festival for Women, took place on Monday 20 October at 7:00 pm (AEDT). This year’s program featured another outstanding line-up of speakers, including: Jazz Taylor – the first disabled sailor to sail solo around the UK Arisa Moriya – offshore sailor from Japan and Magenta Project mentee, who came to Australia to pursue her sailing dreams Victoria Low - CEO of The Magenta Project Ana Sanchez del Campo - International Judge and sports administrator Sharon Ferris-Choat - offshore sailor, Olympian and mentor Returning as MC is Nic Douglass from @SailorGirlHQ guiding us through an evening of inspiring stories, valuable insights, and the remarkable achievements of some of sailing’s most accomplished figures.

This session will provide the opportunity to explore and assist coaches to coach rig and sail setup and tuning, to in turn enable the sailors you coach to achieve peak performance on the water.

The SheSails Conference 2024 will showcase some amazing Olympic female sailors and officials and their journey to being a part of the Olympic Games as part of World Sailing’s 2024 Steering the Course festival. ⛵️ Speakers include, Karyn Gojnich, one of our first female Olympic athletes, Brei Whitehead, Zoe Thomson and Evie Haseldine, three of our latest female Olympic athletes, Jenny Armstrong, one of our first female medallists, and Pınar Coşkuner Genç, the first female Principal Race Officer for the Olympic Games 2024.
