It weighs 7.8kg, which is a quarter of the weight of the original timber floor. Plus, it's laminated into place, making everything stiffer and stronger

Flying the Code 0 and Staysail plus full main on our way past Sardinia. This is the Gunboat 6602 SV Outnumbered doing windspeed in light airs.

The cunningham tightens the luff of a mainsail. In other words the forward part of the sail that is connected to the mast. There are many different ways to set this up. Here is what our setup looks like on Paikea

We have a 3d printer on board Paikea! What do we need one of those for? This tool could actually change the way we refit the boat. More details to come in our feature length YouTube video. But - hey! how cool are these kids getting jobs ticked off the list while Dad is at work!

We have a lot of work to do for our interior refit. The first job is to remove all the lining and timber furniture from the master cabin. We have carbon fibre door frames and composite doors to install for the engine room. That means cutting out the frames a little neater to fit the new ones.

Teaching the kids how to use the paint scraper efficiently. Love that Shayne tells them to choose a "power" hand. Do you know which is your power hand? ???
