Want to get behind the scenes of the build with early & ad free content, meetups, and more? Join the inner tribe at http://patreon.com/svdelos This week's episode is another huuuuge milestone that feels pretty unreal. The salon is really passing the tipping point from construction site vibes to holy cow this is actually where we're going to live 🤯 We're starting to be able to picture a cozy night on anchor cooking up some fresh caught fish in the galley, Kazza sipping a cup of tea curled up on the couch, Sierra doing her homeschooling at the table while we're sailing to our next destination. The transformation of the salon is huge in this one, and the vision is becoming clearer and clearer...The roof panels are going in as well as some super cool strip lighting that totally changes the feel of the space. BUT there's still one part of the salon that's still a bit fuzzy in our minds, and that's what we need YOUR help with!!! Looking for your dream, cruising boat? It's something that can come in real handy in an emergency situation, but also for different troubleshooting or maintenance scenarios. And while most boats (including Delos 1) have a switch down by the batteries, we have opted for the doomsday style light up switch right on the helm station because we like to keep things extra around here 😂 We also introduce a project that I am personally soooo giddy about, which is a control and monitoring system for our electric motors that will eventually allow us to turn Delos 2 into a giant remote controlled boat (again, we like to keep things extra around here 😂). So many fun projects coming together in this one, we hope you enjoy! And there's still a LOT of work to be done in this department, so we're just getting started! Watch the full episode here: https://youtu.be/gSY7381NOBs

Things are truly flying along in the build, and we've reached a very exciting turning point. Up until now we've been designing and building out all the systems that will run Delos 2.0, and we've even been bringing some of them online. But now we're getting deeper into what makes our boat so cool, which is not just the systems themselves but how they will all be interconnected! We're not only building out the backbone of that system, but also explaining how some of these transducers actually turn real world inputs into the data that we will use to navigate Delos 2.0 safely and make decisions out on the water. This is a fun one thats surprisingly not as techy as it sounds, we hope you enjoy this one as much as we did! Watch the full episode here: https://youtu.be/kyZ9Rjpackk

So each step of the way is soooo freaking exciting. We're learning so much, and it's been such a fun process of figuring it all out.
