Watched the fog roll off the summits here for a good thirty minutes. This was late April and truly enjoyed looking out over the hillsides to see green trees starting to fill in. As with Georgia, North Carolina and Tennessee had been sparse with tree cover. I had started to worry about sunburn. Adventured out through the jungles of Oahu, Hawaii to find the hidden waterfall of Lua'alaea in the back of the Manoa Valley. This hike took a little over three hours to complete with breaks and hopefully you will be able to navigate the mazes at the beginning to locate this treat on the island.

This video was shot from an Android, but the footage captured is a little more important. Barefoot Hikers Hawaii members got to see these daredevils brave the 85ft fall into the Spitting Cave mouth in Southeast Oahu, Hawaii. What a crazy fall!

On 9/11, my wife and I ventured to the Valley of the Temples to see the Byodo-In Temple, a replica of the traditional Japanese style building and temples built to honor immigration of Japanese to the island of Oahu, Hawaii. While there, we got to feed the koi fish, the birds and pray in the temple. Remove your shoes when venturing into the inner hall where Buddha statue stands tall and ominous. This video is of Crystal grabbing the ram to ring the gong located to the left of the temple.

On a hike up to the Maunawili Falls Trail, through heat, mosquitoes and the treacherous landscape, we finally reached the Falls for a refreshing dip in ice cold water. Crystal jumped in with some coaxing, and I captured it on film.
