In this video we take a kayak expedition through Ko Hong before taking off for Khoa Ta Poo. You probably know Khoa Ta Poo by it's movie name... Jame Bond Island. We drop anchor close by, and dinghied the short distance to Khao Phing Kan. This is the island where the villain in the 1974 Bond flick, The Man With The Golden Gun, built his evil lair.
We tour the island and watch the sun set over Aquarius anchored near by. Then, we try to get back, but there is a surprise waiting underwater for us during our dinghy ride back to Aquarius.

Unfortunately there was not much wind throughout Indonesia, so we had to use the engine... ALOT. The seals on the C-Drive need to be replaced after every 800 Engine hours, and we didn't budget for the light winds in Indonesia. So we had to get Aquarius out of the water in a hurry, and the only place we could find was Asian Fast Marine.
Asian Fast Marine is located 20 miles South of Singapore, on the Indonesian Island of Batam.
This was the fasted haul out and return we ever had, 23:30 hours! WOW.
If you need to haul out in Indonesia, Asian Fast Marine will probably be your Best CHOICE. The only problem is that only their employees are required to all the work on you boat. But, it was fairly priced, and their workers have skills!

We have a 1967 Bristol 27 sailboat for sale this week - designed by Carl Alberg. It has a Monitor Windvane steering system, a really nice/solid dinghy, and an AIS-equipped radio as nice bonuses for a classic sailboat.
A young man graduated from high school and decided he wanted to take a year off and take this classic sailboat and go solo sailing. He took the Bristol 27 and sailed it from Massachusetts to the Caribbean and back over a 9-month period. At $6,000, It's a really fair price given the additional equipment. She needs a little love but you'd be getting a lot for your money here.

On this episode Colby and myself dive on the ship wreck Valiant at Avalon. This was my first wreck dive and a life long dream come true.
After the dive the Harbormaster was on me about getting off the mooring so I made way and had a nice sail home, I even saw a small shark and a large sunfish!

Is petrol dead? Electric motors from 7.5Kw up to 35Kw from a well established marine brand. It's taken a while but finally Mercury have gone electric. Powering everything from dinghies up to decent sized boats the Avator's can be used with or without tiller and are compatible with external throttles. The 7.5Kw comes with a removable internal battery and the rest with a modular battery system. Whats not to like? Let us know in the comments!

This video documents the recent sailing trip I crewed on onboard the sailing vessel The Intrepid. We motor-sailed from San Diego, California to the San Francisco Bay area. 10 days, 111 hours at sea and 470 nautical miles. The uphill battle against wind and currents, sailing north on the west coast is no pleasure cruise.

With little time to go we made sure Liger was ready to have the mast put back on and be relaunched before our Italian visa ran out. While our departure from Monfalcone was delayed slightly by bad weather, it was okay as it gave us time to carefully tension the rigging using our new Dillion tension meter and make sure everything was stowed and ready to make the passage to Split, Croatia. After 3 months on the hard stand, we are happily back in the water!

When shifting a weight already onboard, the ship’s center of gravity always moves parallel to the movement of the center of gravity of the weight being shifted.
When loading a weight, the ship’s center of gravity will always move toward the center of gravity of the weight being loaded.
