We have completed 99.9% of the refit with only a few things to finish up before the passage to Hawaii.

On this episode we take you along with us on a rocky passage to Catalina Island where we got to put the reefing system and new rig to the test in 17knot winds.

We changed course and pointed for Whites Landing on the front side of Catalina and anchored for the night.

This is just a simple video that corresponds with my larger head project (https://youtu.be/bcPeFUgJAjA ). The Jabsco Y-Valve comes with 1 1/2" ports installed and an additional 1" port that you can switch out for any of the points. This is a handy feature because the Jabsco Macerator Pump has a 1" intake.

On this episode of Sailing Vessel Triteia I dive below to check the propellers position before setting the engine in its final spot and drilling the new holes in the engine bracket. I then continue on hooking up the control cables, exhaust system and fuel lines and finally hooking up the water intake to the broken seacock. I watched the sea flow into my boat as I switched from the old to the new hoses, which is a very unsettling feeling even for just a moment.

This is part 3 of 4 episodes of the engine installation. The next episode will show me installing the control panel and batteries, finishing up the last few things before attempting to start the engine for the first time.

Dodging shoals and regularly seeing less than 2ft under our keel in places even at high tide, we finally made it out into the deeper water of Moreton Bay and were not longer controlled by the tides.

I have also included a little clip of a snorkel adventure where we explored a shipwreck at Peel Island.

This is an Archive Document of my talk at Patagonia in June of 2023 in Santa Monica, California. I filmed this just to have a recording of the talk and not necessarily with the intention of public release but thought some of you would enjoy seeing it so I am releasing it now.

Thanks to Patagonia for hosting it and for Chris King for setting it up. During this talk I cover how I got into sailing, buying the boat and sailing off into the horizon and talk about my adventures as far as New Zealand. I will be doing future talks like this as I continue to sail and collect new experiences and adventures.

This may be the answer to making diesel engines more environmentally friendly (or at least help in that direction for those with a diesel engine). This Sea Go oil pump saves engine oil from going in the bilge and subsequently into the ocean every time we service our engine (Which should be every year or at the specified hours of running time...*(check your manual for this).
