After a nice and enjoyable stay in Trizonia, Gulf of Corinth we continue our sailing journey East towards Corfu. On the way we stop in a beautiful Nafpaktos - a town and a former municipality in Aetolia-Acarnania, West Greece, where we admire the view and get back on the road - the next attraction - Rion-Antirion Bridge, which as impressive as it can get. After a quick stop for the night we on the other fun part - a short channel between mainland Greece and Lefkos Island, where at the end is the bridge that is being raised for the boats, just this time - it closes right in front of us? What to do now???

As we keep moving on our long journey to Trinidad to escape hurricane season in Caribbean we sail to the British Virgin Islands and make a 24 hr sail from Virgin Gorda in BVI to St. Martin. To say the least it was not easy! But we make it and award ourselves with some fun and visit Maho Beach for some clubbing.

We came back to Ayla Marina after week of travels in Jordan. We were keeping an eye to start moving towards Suez Canal, but weather does not seem to cooperate - the head winds were plowing hard in Gulf of Suez... Meanwhile weather in Jordan was super nice - so we decided make the best of it and take up for some new experiences, and visit new country! And we will take you there as well! Join us!

We take in the beauty of the two large temples close to Yogyakarta; Borobudur, and Prambanan. After our not so stelar experience in Penang, we take off for Langkawi - which will be our last stop in Malaysia. Z and I weigh anchor at 5 AM and set off for the Malacca Strait. Depending on the winds this could take up to 15 hours, and we don’t want to arrive after sundown. Morning darkness washes away as we give priority to several Big Ass Ships… We didn't know it, but we are in for a treat - PERFECT SAILing conditions after what seemed like 6 long months of motoring.

Last week we unsuccessfully tried to sail from Crete to Santorini / Nisos Thira. To say the least - we didn’t make it. We will try again - although we heard it’s super busy and anchoring is difficult. Plus it’s Captain’s Ken’s birthday, so it would be so special to get there.
Well I guess it’s a spoiler alert we visit Ios island that we jokingly call “Little Santorini” or “Poor man’s Santorini”.

We arrived to Martinique and had to fix broken genoa halyard, as well as windless (anchor chain motor) and service main Volvo Penta engine. All went well and we rented a car and visited the island - St. Anne beach, where we witnessed world record and local unique boat launch; visited capital Fort de France; dramatic St. Pierre and Mountain Pele itself.

After brief stop in St. Martin we get back to our route. Hurricane season starts soon and we need to be out and still so much to see and do. So we do - we sail 3 days in a row, each day 10+ hours just stopping to sleep & repeat. Whole trip - St. Martin to St. Kitts & Nevis; from there to Guadeloupe, next stop Dominica and finally Martinique. Back to where everything started 4 months ago... Where we have to fix broken halyard and we deserve some rest and fun.

Early morning leaving Penang, Malaysia. It was a bit stressful as there's quite shallow waters and big chances of local fisherman setting up fishing nets. The chances even gets bigger as we have to give way to the big cruise ship and leave the channel.
We also show all the navigation systems we run: Furuno, iSailor, Open CPN and Echo Sounder (Forward looking Sonar).
Forgive us the shaking and sometimes lack of focus but this is real time / real life footage.

Now that is the time when we can start exploring The Mediterranean Sea. We are so eager and excited. The season started Just perfect, with our recently improved purring engine.
We did some mistakes and and it was a bit chilly than we are used to, but it was phenomenal!

What a way to start Season 4... That was NOT intentional by any means. What we thought will be a simple few hours sail became one of the most challenging passage. All started well - friends saying farewell and we even got some wind, where for 3 months in Indonesia we had to motor almost all the time. We had beautiful views into the Singapore and felt elated starting new season and about to arrive to Malaysia.
Singapore and Malacca strait - one of the busiest places in the world, so we didn't think it's gonna be a breeze, but did not expected this tuff navigation. And did not expected to be pulled over by the Police. In the beginning it was all jokes but after 2 hours we felt more and more uneasy and worried.
Finally after 2.5 hours we were let go.
It's sunset and we still have hour and a half to go to unknown territories into unknown marina... And we are the ones advising everyone not to sail at night... Oh well...
Navigating in a busy place at night is no fun. Also no fun going under the bridge or arriving to marina after work hours in pitch dark, but we did all of this!
