Hello Friends,

One year ago today I untied the lines from Marina del Rey, California and pushed for Hawaii. I have sailed 5,500nm during that time, visited more than 20 anchorages on 6 different islands and 2 atolls in 3 different countries.

I want to thank everyone for following along with me on this dream.

There are more Hawaiian Adventure videos coming up on the channel then the hour long Passage to French Polynesia video and then Season 9: The South Pacific starts.

March 20th - 7pm - Richmond Yacht Club (SF BAY AREA) organized by the Singlehanded Sailing Society of San Francisco.

I hope you will join me for my first talk in Northern California. I will be talking about my life as a solo sailor and about the constructs of sailing singled handed vs. short handed. I will speak about my sleep schedule, handing disasters at sea and finding a balance between solitude and loneliness.

| Season 3 | Episode 39 | PART 1 (before.....)

Welcome to Season 3 of my channel!

On this episode we head out for our adventure leaving the island of Ljusterö after days of boat work. On our departure day.... a Friday 😟... we were met with 25+ knots of wind in the morning that eased to 14+ after out noon departure time. The landscape created ever changing sailing conditions, with wind shadows, gusts in channels and the like.

At 4pm we ran aground and things went very badly after this.... you can hear me tell the full story of what happened to us on PART 2 ( https://youtu.be/jOA_DXeh_JE )

You can see where we ran aground on google maps in the satellite view... https://goo.gl/maps/PTicm89PQWN2 ( 59º 32' 30" N 18º 53' 36" E )

The next nine or so videos will follow my time on board SV Arcturus as we explore the Åland Islands and beyond. We sail into cities, tie up on small islands, anchor bows to and ride out a blow before heading back to Sweden. I hope you will follow along with us on the trip.

Thanks for watching and if you enjoy the content please leave a comment and like below or you can donate as little as a dollar a video if you are so inclined on our patreon page.

Episode 409 : Season 13 : Sailing Indonesia

Hello Friends,
On this episode we explore the town of Labuan Bajo, the gateway to Komodo National Park. This town was amazing and what I expect Bali was like 25 years ago. We got a lot of chores handled while at Bajo including getting fleeced for fuel at a local fuel barge, I paid the price for the connivence.

After getting the laundry done, fuel, water and provisions, we are all ready for our next adventure!

Episode 345 : Season 10 : New Zealand - Aotearoa

Hello Friends,
Once the storm had passed, I hauled up and made way for Auckland Harbour. Finally settling into an anchorage I had spent a fair amount of time at in the past, Little Shoal, I headed over to Westhaven Dinghy dock and into Auckland CBD to visit Boat Books bookstore and the New Zealand Maritime Museum.

Season 8 : Hawaiian Adventures : Episode #213

Hello Friends,

On this weeks episode I "get back on the horse" and with a lot of anxiety leave the dock at Ala Wai and head out to my first anchorage with the new jury repaired rudder.

Everything goes smoothing and I "enjoy" a rolly night under anchor at the world famous Waikiki Beach anchorage with a plan to leave at first light the next morning for new adventures!

Finally wrapping up this four part series on my head build out! In this episode I measure and drill out the deck fitting and the hole for the vent in the hole on my Alberg 30. Boats of this age do not have a cored hull so the beauty is you don't need to seal the core on the vent hole because the entire hull is solid hand laid fiberglass!

I make my project videos on the slow side letting people see what I did and how I dealt with obstacles, in past videos my viewers have thanked me for not jumping over all of the details and getting right to the finished project so while this might not be the most exciting video it might help some people out there see how I dealt with certain aspects of the project.

Thanks for watching!

Episode #223 : Season 8 : The Hawaiian Adventures

Hello Friends,
After a week in port at Honolulu's Ala Wai Harbor I make way for the windward side of the island to spend some time exploring Kaneohe Bay. I had planned this passage with a forecasted slack in the tradewinds giving me a nice easy motorsail up the Kaiwi Channel.

Once around to the eastern side of Oahu I come about and transit the very shallow Sampan Channel.

Episode 412 : Season 13 : Sailing Indonesia

Hello Friends,
On this episode we sail to the uninhabited island of Gili Banta Island and are confronted by the very sad and common reality of plastic pollution here in Indonesia. The plastic trash in this country is completely out of control. From the lack of infrastructure to the lack of desire of the people to the endless production of non-recyclable plastics being churned out by corporations in the form of single use servings, this poisoning of our planet seems like an impossible problem when you walk in the jungles, towns and beaches of Indonesia.

Hello Friends,

This is a "Friday Bonus" video! In this episode I show you how I made our new winch bases from a rescued piece of timber from the famous sailing yacht USS Highland Light (IX-48) (R.I.P.)

The large chunk of laminated white oak that had been part of the ship for almost a hundred years was heavy and awkward to work with and just a little too big for my tools. I show you how I dealt with this obstacle and how to "round" a block of wood using a chop saw when you don't have a big enough bandsaw or its too much for a jigsaw.

EPISODE #109 ; Dragging Anchor and Scuba Diving at Emerald Bay

Hello Friends,
On this weeks episode we woke up on the hook after a rocky night with our stern anchor dragging around midnight.

After a trip a shore with Mr. Steady and some drone flights we brought Camille back a large surprise gift. Once back on the boat we suited up and went for an amazing dive in 40ft + visibility and explored the kelp forests and undersea landscapes that surround Indian Rock.

Episode #264 : Season 9 : The South Pacific Adventures

Hello Friends,

On this episode, I hauled up and heading out to an anchorage a few miles south that would offer better protection from the continuing maramu winds. Dropping the hook near Pearl Beach Resort, I was treated to an incredible anchorage with access to beautiful motus and an abandoned pearl farm with manta rays.

Complete Video Premieres September 20th at 7PM PST

This is a trailer for my upcoming long format episode that chronicles my first solo ocean crossing from Marina del Rey to Honolulu, Hawaii. During that passage my rudder failed 1000 miles from The Hawaiian Islands and I was forced to steer by drogue for the last 18 days of a 32 day passage.

Season 8 : The Hawaiian Adventures : Episode #216

On this episode I enjoy one last night at the amazing Pokai Bay before hauling up and sailing up the west side heading north for the most remote anchorage on Oahu, Makua Bay. The landscape continues to amaze me as I watch it pass by, a view you can only get from the sea.

I come into the wide sandy bay and drop the hook and was happy to see my anchor set so deep only the roll bar was showing above the sand. The winds continued to blow but Triteia sat secure and happy under anchor surrounded by remarkable beauty.
