Our yachts are built with ease of ownership in mind, and this is why, if you need to remove a hidden deck fitting we’ve attached, there will be GRP packing around the nuts below the deck. Not only does this prevent any ingress of water around the fitting, it means that any bolt or machine screw can be removed and replaced on your own, and without having to remove any of the interior. Anyone who has unscrewed a bolt, and heard the tell-tale clatter of a nut falling off, will know the sinking realisation that a quick job has now become a long job. The headlining and possibly parts of the interior will need to be removed to access the bolt. We never want that to happen to you. There may be times when deck fittings need to be repaired or replaced. It was an exhilarating showdown for the opening race of the 2025 season in the Glen class on the stunning Strangford Lough! With the sun blazing and a perfect breeze sweeping across the bay, the fleet was tightly bunched just before the race began. Boats on Starboard Tack charged toward the pin end of the line, while over half the fleet on port tack raced headlong towards them, setting the stage for an electrifying start to the sailing season. In the end, two boats turned back after a second starting signal blared, revealing that some boats had crossed the line early. One crew was left wishing they hadn’t returned as they learned at the bar post-race that only one boat was actually over the line! Can you guess which boat it was?
