We recently navigated the uncharted Kinabatangan River, aka 560 km of wild, winding waterways home to monkeys, elephants and other rare and endangered wildlife. The surface looks calm, but at night, those glowing eyes of giant crocs in the torchlight remind you who really owns this place... very splash had our crew looking twice! To avoid terrible sailing conditions, we made the bold choice to cross the notorious Sulu Sea from Malaysia to Palawan, stopping overnight on an island deep in the red zone!? Known for pirate activity and unpredictable weather, this quickly became one of our most intense and nerve-wracking passages yet. If you guys know one thing about Riles and I, it’s that we never back away from some friendly competition ;) We recently hit the water for a race with @strickandfran . They decided upon a traditional style powerboat, fully confident she could take on our sailboat… and it was full throttle, full laughs all the way to the end! We’re still debating who won… let us know what you think in the comments ahaha!
