🇫🇷 Tous les jours un problème dit-on sur un Vendée Globe. Aujourd'hui pour Louis c'est un problème de barre de liaison de safran ( un tube que relie les deux safrans pour les faire fonctionner ensemble). Mais le problème est déjà en passe d'être résolu. 🇬🇧 Every day there's a problem, they say, in a Vendée Globe. Today for Louis it's a problem with the rudder linkage (a tube that connects the two rudders to make them work together). It still blows my mind that sailing into the wind even works. It feels like a small miracle every time?!! Sailing upwind is still my least favorite thing we do on the boat lol. Watch how the bow slams into the waves.. now imagine trying to sleep through that & yeah. You pretty much don't. Sailors usually follow the trade winds to avoid going against the wind.. but sometimes you've just got to face it. This was a SEMI fun upwind sail.. and pretty satisfying to see the numbers and watch how well La Vagabonde performs. - Elay xx
