In this video we’re sailing upwind in 35+ knots of breeze in Johnstone Strait during the VanIsle360 race with a double-reefed main sail and storm jib. A crew member is on the foredeck securing the #3 jib we had previously been flying in the short video https://youtube.com/shorts/VRAEp8M49Y4, but ripped in half. The head literally ripped right off. He is wearing a harness and tether! The sky is completely blue, but everybody is still completely soaked from the spray. Lots of sails were destroyed in that leg, including the #3 jib that is now on the foredeck. In 2022 we introduced our Spearfishing trips. 15 keen spearos, 5 experienced crew and guides, a videographer and whole lotta ocean for 5 days of epic spearfishing at the outer GBR. Targeting species such as: Coral Trout; Tusk Fish; A variety of Emperors: -Spangled; -Red; -Grassy; -Yellow Lip; and -Red Throat. Reef Jack Purple Spot Cod Mu Fish Job Fish Crayfish Trevally Spanish mackerel. It's the only spearfishing charter in the Whitsundays and it's about as good as it gets.
