With just six days remaining, I'm diligently continuing my preparations for the upcoming voyage across the Pacific from Hawaii to Japan. Today's task is to remove Starlink, as I'm eager to take it on the journey. Unfortunately, this process has been delayed by a day due to yesterday's evacuation of the coastline here in Okinawa, prompted by a Tsunami alert following the deadly earthquake in Taiwan. We're super excited to be a part of the @seakeepers research project mapping the ocean floor. We met the International Seakeepers Society at the Auckland Boat Show 2024 and when we heard about their various projects we asked if we could apply to join their research program of mapping the seafloor (which we did) and within a few days they sent us the logger and some other cool stuff free of charge.
