In October 2018 we set about starting to make a how to video on sailing a performance boat upwind and somehow that led to putting a 4000 in the swimming pool at Nikiana. The video is still not finished but here's a quick look at some of the footage.

Sailing a beautiful high-altitude (8,601 ft elevation) Colorado mountain lake in my 2010 Precision 18 trailer sailer, s/v "Mandatory Fun." Winds were pretty heavy, so I double-reefed the mainsail. Sundowner turned into… ground level seating🍹😂 We sat down… and the bench broke. Instead of throwing it away, we gave it a second life — as a herb garden. 🌿✨ It happened on a perfect summer evening — we grabbed our sundowner drinks, sat down to watch the sunset… and the bench had other plans. One loud crack later, we were on the ground, laughing. Now it’s filled with basil, parsley, mint, and chives — fresh herbs I use in my cooking every day. La Classe HANSA in Italia è nata nel 2014 ed è una Classe dove ho ricoperto il ruolo di Presidente per i primi 6 anni, poi 2 da Vice Presidente ed infine altri due da Consigliere. A ridosso del primo decennio di vita di questa Classe che a fine 2023 porta in dote 140 (in costante ascesa) imbarcazioni presenti nel territorio nazionale, conta anche qualche centinaio di soci. Per molto tempo è stata la deriva che utilizzavo per uscire in mare (in questo video invece ero al Lago di Garda) da solo. Ed è da solo che ho scoperto un'infinità di legami con la montagna al mare...
